Title Synopsis: A first-person memoir of Alice, an indomitable courageous spirit, told by her as she views things in the voice of her age at the time of the Holocaust in Czechoslovakia. Alice will move you, make you want to finish the book in one reading. You will learn about places and times no longer here, about heroism, about acts of kindness remembered for three quarters of a century and now passed on to you, with her diagrams of places and streets, and a lesson plan for tolerance. Timelines are seamlessly woven into the narrative so you can learn the historical context painlessly as you follow Alice's journey. This book is a well- researched and well-documented work of history that can be used as reference for students. It is not a small paperback story, but a large tome that can be read over and over. The book is best read and shared with family members, including those who were alive at or near that time. We recommend parental guidance for younger children. You will treasure this keepsake, its cheerful inside and out despite the horrors that Alice endures. The book is for all people of all faiths. Descriptions of Jewish customs are all explained, and any Yiddish or Hebrew words are translated. This book is easy to read because of its large bold print set on full sized cream pages, and it is easy to read because you will be captured by Alice's voice. We hope you will find it moving and life altering. And a child shall lead them!

About the Author: I am a Holocaust educator and have worked with survivors and children of survivors of the Holocaust to preserve Holocaust memory and promote self-healing. I believe it is a gift to society when survivors record their personal testimony in book form and am honored to have helped its presentation onto the digital platform with survivor Alice Muller. Both Alice and I are at the same time gifted by the reading of the reviews our readers have presented that have moved us and help us see that our message is getting across to all faiths and all ages in several countries. We are glad our efforts to include the elderly and the print disabled in our readership by our special formatting enabled by Amazon has been appreciated and we encourage other authors to do the same. We also suggest that Holocaust survivors write their memoirs now when truth is so urgently needed.
